hope and horror combined in one picture! on the one hand it makes me marvel on how we really have come a long way, using advanced technology to save to save the life of those that in earlier times were doomed the moment they were "thrown" into the world prematurely. on the other hand their unbelievable tininess still makes us gasp in horror at the fragility of life and the utter crushability and helplessness of our worm-like beginnings. a very moving shot! greetings, sabine. p.s.: in this case i prefer the colored version over the b/w because of it's less "scifi" ; )) looking and thus closer to our hearts and makes us identify more!
