This temple often is visited by business people to pray for happiness and prosperity, both of women who ask the goddess Melanting for her fertility, which embodies this goddess.
The offerings of the Balinese consist in appeasing the gods and repelling negative influences. They do this to have daily protection and prosperity. I sense that these mighty deities are fully alive here, aware of all these events around us. I feel like an outsider. Maybe they do more than for them, this is a traditional and ancient ritual.
