Famous Russian sculptor Andrei Vyacheslavovich Klykov was born in 1962 in the town of Shchigry in the Kursk region. (Father - Klykov Vyacheslav Mikhailovich, an outstanding sculptor). He took an active part in almost all his father's works, starting with the design of the Children's Music Theater N. Sats and until the last days of his life. During the years of joint creativity, dozens of monuments were created in different parts of our country and abroad. Andrew always worried the history of the Russian state, distorted by falsifiers in the Soviet era. Therefore, he became a co-founder of the non-profit foundation «Memory of Honor», which tells about the heroes of the White Movement. The purpose of creating the fund was to draw the attention of society to the historical period of 1917-1922, which had been silenced.

In 2006, Andrey Klykov, continuing the tradition of the Klykov dynasty, creates a monument to Empress Maria Feodorovna, the wife of Emperor Alexander III, who was installed in Peterhof during the reburial ceremony. Together with the center of artistic casting «Tsar's Island» monuments are being created to the outstanding historical events of Russian history, to the devotees of Russian culture, military commanders, commanders, Orthodox saints.

One can not fail to note the last works of the sculptor, among them a monument at the entrance to the Temple of the Blessed Virgin in Zaporozhye, a monument to the Air Marshal Igor Borzov in Shatura, General AI Rodimtsev in the Kursk Region, the Guardsman of the Semyonovsky Regiment in Moscow. At the birthplace of his father in Kursk, Andrei creates a monument to Vyacheslav Mikhailovich, in which all the pain of loss and continuity of generations is transmitted.
