On Tumbo Island
Mt. Baker in Washington State in the background ...
we stayed at this little bay between Cabbage and Tumbo Islands for a couple of days - much to explore, and here the Salish Sea meets the Haro Strait, and the American San Juan Islands are just across the water .

Wunderschön mit dem Hintergrund des Vulkans festgehalten. Er liegt sehr nahe an Vancouver (nur 60 km). Ist das nicht ein wenig gefährlich? Aber die ganze Kaskadenkette ist ja mit Vulkanen übersäht.Grüße Günter

tumbo island? are you sure??? i'm taking your word for it, but personally i think you may have been drifting somewhere in the vicinity of the ulanga river… watch out now for mosquitos, crocodiles, leeches and the queen louisa…"pinch me, rosie. here we are, going down the river like anthony and cleopatra on that barge! i'll never forget the way you looked going over the falls – head up, chin out, hair blowing in the wind – the living picture of a hero-eyne!"
