Recollection of better days.

Life isn't always as easy as it should be for old people in my homeland, Croatia. A few years ago, I visited the town I was born in (and left 17 years ago) for the weekend and (as usual) took a long extended stroll across the city. I was surrounded by happy faces and general wellfeeling and people enjoying the warm weather outside. So, as you may imagine, this old man stood out of the crowd and I was fascinated and puzzled what he might be thinking about. He seemed somewhat sad and if he was recollecting. He sat there for 20 minutes without moving. At first I thought he was waiting for someone, not unusual because there is a market place near. But he didn't even turn his head to look around for the time I have been sitting there, he just stood up and walked away slowly.

There's always a story behind every life, I would really liked to know this one.
