Remains of Thailand–Burma Railway

was a 415-kilometre railway between the village Ban Pong in Thailand, and the small town Thanbyuzayat in Burma, built by the Empire of Japan in 1943 to support its forces in the Burma campaign of World War II.
The remains of the railway at the Three Pagoda Pass is a memory about the senseless project which costs the life of 90,000 civilian labourers and more than 12,000 Allied prisoners.
