social systems in EU are quite different, the poorer states from the east/southeast do not know same level of social security as those in the north. one reason for the richer north is that EU enables their large companies to enter into new markets which cannot compete and cannot protect their small companies. no barriers for the powerful ones. the result is migration, migration of the well educated to work for the powerhouses in northern economy. and for the poorer to migrate into social systems. the latter more and more under attack by populistic parties. those who remain are the old.
