a Great Blue Heron at Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park, Vancouver ...... looking cold and lonely ....
The Great Blue Heron is a large wading bird in the heron family Ardeidae, common near the shores of open water and in wetlands over most of North America and Central America, as well as the Caribbean and the Galápagos Islands.
I always wonder why they call him blue when he looks just like the grey heron in Europe :-)))

I’m feeling cold, when looking at this lonely heron…. He must have adapted somehow, if he doesn’t fly southwards to warmer regions I think.Warm regards, Bernd

Magnifique vision de nature hivernale, Adele, tu as capté ce héron entre les branches au graphisme en courbe très bienvenu autour du volatile! Près des roseaux séchés, raidis par le froid, son plumage minutieusement restitué est en harmonie gris-beige et les teintes de l'ensemble montrent une subtilité homogène avec la présence de la neige! Il n'a pas chaud ce héron cendré, mais il faut bien qu'il mange d'où sa présence vers l'eau. Son portrait est magnifique.Amitiés
