The Living Forest (255) : Clouded Yellow
Clouded Yellow is a very attractive butterfly, widespread in North Africa and the Mediterranean region, from where it migrates northwards each year.
On fine summer and warm early autumn days, this butterfly spends long periods flying restlessly from flower to flower.
When feeding it remains extremely alert and rarely settles for more than 3 or 4 seconds at a time.
Dutch name : Oranje Luzernevlinder
German name : Postillon (auch Wander-Gelbling genannt)
Latin name : Colias crocea
