The Living Forest (478) : House Sparrow
House sparrows generally live in the neighbourhood of human settlements, but I spotted this specimen at the edge of the forest.
In large parts of Europe, populations of house sparrows are decreasing.
The population has dropped in half since the 1980s !
Dutch name : Huismus
German name : Haussperling (auch Spatz genannt)
Latin name : Passer domesticus
