The Living Forest (52) : Yellow Archangel
This wild plant with its vivid yellow flowers can mostly be found in the darkest places of the forest.
Nowadays, sometimes also used as a cultivated garden plant or as an ornamental in hanging baskets.
The leaves of the Yellow Archangel appear superficially similar to those of the Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) but do not sting.
Dutch name : Gele dovenetel
German name : Goldnessel
Latin name : Lamium galeobdolon

Die Goldnessel ist zwar nicht selten, aber sehr hübsch, wie Deine Aufnahme in bester Qualtität zeigt.Für mich persönlich hat sie noch eine besondere Bedeutung: das war eine der ersten Blütenpflanzen, deren lateinischen Namen ich als kleine Biologiestudentim im 1. Semester gelernt (und nie vergessen) habe.
