The Pyramid of Khafre
seen through the Queen's Pyramids ....
there was no protection around this pyramid, and it was disturbing to see that people were able to climb up and to collect fallen stones .....
The Pyramid of Khafre, also known as the Pyramid of Chephren, is the second-tallest and second-largest of the Ancient Egyptian Pyramids of Giza and the tomb of the Fourth-Dynasty pharaoh Khafre (Chefren), who ruled from c. 2558 to 2532 BC.

Es ist völlig unverständlich, dass die Besucher, die Möglichkeit, so nahe an diese GEbäude zu gelangen, missbrauchen und Steine mitzunehmen und auch ihre Kletterkünste auszuprobieren!
Sollte einges Tages eine Barriere diese Nähe verhindern, dann ist das Unverständnis Vieler gewiß....
Wieder eine feine Aufnahme, die mit der Perspektive jetzt einen noch besseren Größenverlgich möglich macht!

Climbing up this pyramid does not look that safe. Probably why 40 years ago I would have done it. The BW photo here is great. Nicely done.Regards,

fascinating!! studying its textures, i'm trying to imagine how it was built, imagining the workers inserting one stone after the other, unitl it was finally tall, invincible, majestic and divine looking – worthy of an egyptian king! amazing, how they survived for so long, with souvenir hunters and stone thieves roaming them throughout the centuries… people are and have always been vultures and won't ever change! kind of ironic, that part of the reason for the pyramids being built was to protect the sublime dead in their majestic tombs from postmortem looting… hugs, sabine.Claudio Micheli 11/02/2015 13:02

unbelievable that people could build those pyramids such a long time ago...yes..they were slaves probably...Admiring them...and hating the tourists who take away the stones...
