UtoPier
Pier war ein Ort im rheinischem Braunkohlerevier der 2014 vollständig von der Landkarte verschwand.
Heute liegt die Oberfläche an dieser Stelle 200 Meter tiefer, Morgen, also in ein paar Jahren wird hier Wasser sein.
Utopier waren die Spuren eines Kunstprojektes, das dort standfand.
Utopier is a made-up word from utopia and the town-name Pier. Pier was a small town in the region of Aachen in Germany. It was completely decommissioned in the years between 2010 and 2014. Today the ground-level is 200 meters lower and heavy machines are digging for brown coal.
Shortly before the decommissioning was complete, an art-project designed the name UtoPier and write it on the wall.
