Wat Phou Salao near Pakxé
A picturesque hilltop temple near Pakxé in southern Laos.
Remarkably few visitors take the time and effort to cross the Mekong River and undertake a 4 km hike to the top of the hill.
The temple has a lot to offer. First of all, visitors to the Wat Phou Salao temple will be amazed by a huge Buddha statue that offers a sweeping view of the city.
