Weisse Duenen - white dunes

Sued Afrika - West Kueste. Schnee weisse Duenen entlang einer einsamen und Menschen leeren Kueste - das Namaqua Reservat am Atlantik. Traumhaft schoen.Sehr ungewöhnlich fuer mich waren die flachen Duenen , zwar hoch aber oben ganz flach. Weiter Land einwärts nahmen sie die fuer mich bekannte Form an. Möglicher weise hat hier der Wind einen Einfluss, dass er eventuell an der Kueste stärker weht, ist aber nur eine Vermutung.

South Africa, west coast. Stunningly beautiful snow white dunes along a lonely beach in the Namaqua Reserve along the Atlantic. For me the shape of the dunes was somewhat unusual, high but quite flat on top, further inland they again had the shape known to me. Perhaps the strong wind at the coast has an influence here, but this is merely a guess.
