A propos de moi
I got my 1st camera when i was about 6, it was a Kodak 126 instamatic camera that took annoyingly square pictures having seen some of my photos a friend gave me his old practica, and later i bought myself a Ricoh KR10X + a 28-200mm zoom lens especially to go with me to see K2 - i got the ricoh because i learn't it was better for tempreture variations - just as well with temps ranging from -20c at night to +50c in days a lot of fellow trekkers cameras just stopped working.
I also managed to pick up a little olympus XA i think it was which was good when weight n' size mattered & after that died someone left me a Samsung fino 140S which i still have along with the ricoh, varoius lenses and my N73 camera phone with its 3.2mb lens which reproduces my prints amazingly when or if the software on it works.
I love my mountains and everything on or in them, geology, archeology, astronomy - have a meade ETX105EC telescope, love plants, birds n' animals and basically exploring this wonderful planet we live on and beyond.
i've been lucky to work my way around the U.K. especilly at youth hostels in the lakes and pennines but sadly now at 46, i find myself in worksop with no mountains.
I've recently bought a Fuji Finepix A920 not quite the DSLR i want but will hopefully give me better scope for clearer images. I am dismayed by my new camera it eats batteries every time i turn it on it demands more. i think i am going back to my old trusty Riccoh - it takes a better picture and now with my scanner i can put them on my computer.
In may i bought myself a Nikon D90 with the kit 18 - 105mm and also the Nikkor 70 - 300mm and the reason you've not seen any of them - Flickr
Black Sunday on flickr, thought I'd have a look back at here
