now retired, i have lotsa free time to work on my pictures -
but as hard as i try to work
my mind and soul are torn
by today's horrible distraction:
stop the war -
the world's heart is with ukraine ...

in the usual sense
beauty is in the eye of the beholder
at the local saloon
beauty is in the eye of the beer-holder
as for me
it's in the eye of my camera
and i see beauty in all things ...

Thankyou for appreciating the view of the piazza in syracuse.I had several shots of the same scene ( all taken from the cafe that you can see in a neighbouring picture) - but the one i liked best was this one - with the man walking his dog.
I liked this personal, mundane routine - amidst grand architecture that is centuries old, and in a town centre that goes back the greeks, and probably before.
The coffee and croissant that allowed me to enjoy this scene (at my leisure) was about £3
A bargain.
