Greylag Geese

The greylag goose is the largest wild goose native to Europe.

The natural habitat of this bird consists of a variety of wetlands including marshes, lakes, damp heather moors and low-lying grassy fields in river valleys.

Greylag geese are primarily grazing birds but also grain, root crops and leafy vegetation are part of their food.
