Once a Corner Grocery Store (13)

now a Toy Store for young (and sometimes old)
on Main Street close to where I live ....

Years ago Vancouver used to have many, many grocery stores situated on street corners in all neighbourhoods - the big chain groceries and malls have pushed most of them out, others remain or are turned into different stores, cafes, galleries and living quarters .... and the nostalgia remains :-))

Toy-store, its spoken kids love lolly-chops it gets them excited, for me it was the Toy store wen-ever my mum Tok me to the big smoke the city I’d go nats mum took me to the toy store from the moment we entered the store she regretted it cos she  could not get me out of there, pure mum. I Stil love and enjoy toy stores, but at 75 I settle for a tomato juice. Adele loves your capture, the two kinds on the right are fascinating the boy appears to be programmed a little like a robot! I do what I'm told and the world is a wonderful place. The girl on the order hande is totally blown away she's spellbound, Vader is pointing his finger, over her, come over her well she is thinking like al girls light jars ahead, like what du you think I’am a Dog?

Then the little human = Boy? I think. With his sombrero pulled over his head mum wants him to go, her way, but little Mr human in blau recons I can't se you, so you can't see me. At the end the grown ups are as interested in what this place has to over as the kids are...

very nice!! the way the toy store is designed – awning, old-fashioned writing etc. – it still succeeds in preserving some of the old "corner-store charm" – yes, like you say "the nostalgia remains"! love the hustle and bustle on the sidewalk (and the soap bubbles in the air!) you captured here, especially the little blue-bell blossom of a toddler hiding his face from view! ; ) hugs, sabine.

A very nice urban scene, dominated by the liveliness of the passers-by and the bright colors of the old shop.
    All the best,

The young kid is unhappy going out from the store without a toy. Great capture and beautiful documentation.

Laut, schrill und bunt. So wird die Welt heutzutags eben erlebt. Mehr will ich dazu gar nicht sagen damit ich nicht in den Verdacht gerate "altmodisch" oder von gestern zu sein. Was ja auch stimmen würde:.))).
