Die letzte Station unserer Sommer-Tour war Prag, eine der schönsten Städte Europas. Nicht so bekannt wie die Karlsbrücke ist die Cech-Brücke. Die nach dem Schriftsteller Svatopluk Cech benannte Brücke gehörte zu den ersten im aufkommenden Jugendstil gehaltenen Bauwerken. An den beiden Brückenenden stehen jeweils zwei 17,5m hohe gusseiserne Säulen mit ca. 3 m hohen Bronzefiguren der Viktoria (Siegesgöttin) mit vergoldeten Zweigen des Bildhauers Antonín Popp.

The last stop on our summer tour was Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The Cech Bridge is not as well known as the Charles Bridge. Named after the writer Svatopluk Cech, the bridge was one of the first buildings to be built in the emerging Art Nouveau style. At each end of the bridge are two 17.5 metre high cast-iron columns with approx. 3 metre high bronze figures of Victoria (goddess of victory) with gilded branches by sculptor Antonín Popp.
