South Dakota | erosive forces |
A less well-known part of the Badlands National Park is the South Unit, the Northern tip of the Pine Ridge Reservation. It belongs to the Oglala Sioux tribes.
Following the Sage Creek Rim Road and more miles on a dusty gravel road you enter the other part of the National Park.

@ Rainer:danke für die Idee! Dein Vorschlag brachte mir sofort die berühmte Scheune des Mormon Row Historic District mit der Teton Range im Hintergrund in Erinnerung.
Schade, die Badlands South Unit ist sowas von einsam :-) Und außerdem stehen die Grasslands weitgehend unter Naturschutz, deshalb nix mit Größenvergleichshütte.

bestimmt die ideale Welt für Kletterfans.Wirkt mächtig. Würde da jetzt am Fuße des Gebirges noch ein kleines Haus stehen hätte man einen noch grandioseren Größenvergleich.
So kann man es nur erahnen.
