Well - it was a walk along the coast  -
between the air and the sea and the ground.
It was a nice day out.
The landscape exhibits time in varying packages.
The waves show themselves for a few seconds.
The sand patterns might exist for half a day.
The dunes themselves, which were built-up by the wind  over centuries - in recent years - have been cut into and exposed and degraded. This seems to be because seastorms are becoming more destructive, due to global warming.
In places - where the dunes are being destroyed - they reveal the stumps of long-dead trees - which had been swallowed up by the sand - possibly a thousand years ago.
      Mark.
