a(nother) day at the beach
swan haven - the resting place
on marsh lake - part of the mighty yukon river
just south of whitehorse.
more than two thousand swans, trumpeter and tundra,
have been counted on various april days.
( and numerous other types of birds join them )
it keeps the bird counters very! busy ... ;-))

This image reminds me of a famous Russian ballet "The swan lake".If someone had gone to the theater instead of staying in the button room dreaming of glory...
But tell me: do they migrate to the South in winter and return in springtime, or are they settled in this area all time?
