The golden handle


Hier liegt am oberen Bildrand das Tal der Regenbogenbucht im Schatten aber die Höhen des danebenliegenden Juragebirges schon im Sonnenlicht. Dieser Effekt tritt 10 Tage nach Neumond auf, dabei erscheint einem diese Stelle am Mond für kurze Zeit wie ein goldener Henkel.

Here lies the valley of the Rainbow Bay in the shade at the top of the picture, but the heights of the adjoining Jura Mountains are already in the sunlight. This effect occurs 10 days after the new moon, but this spot on the moon appears like a golden handle for a short time.
